The tradition-bound Tokaj-hegyalja Cellars incorporated in Tokajvinum Hungaricum society have participated in several exhibitions over the past years to introduce the Society to the public and, by means of wine tastings, enhance the reputation of the Tokaji wines.

The first tasting event was held at Tokaj Museum as part of the 3rd Tokaji Wine Festival on May 28, 2004. Here viticulturist and guests of the Meeting of Tokaj World Heritage members together with journalists and mayors could taste the traditional dry Szamorodni and six butt aszú wines produced by Tokaj Kereskedõház Rt., Tokajbor-Bene Cellars, Bodnár Cellars and Winery, István Kiss Cellars, Sajgó Cellars, László Ráski Cellars, Dániel Szabó Cellars, Götz Cellars, Monyók Cellars, And Babits Cellars.

Solidarity and common appearance were the central issues why the Society participated in the 4th Pannonian "Winament" in Budapest from June 11 to 13, 2004. That was the first time the Society had been introduced to the general public.

We also took part in the exhibition "North-Hungarian Wine Show at Eger Castle" in August 2004 to advertize Tokaj wines. Beside Tokaj viticulturists, wine growers from Mátraalja, Bükkalja and Eger wine districts were present at the show. The event was held at the Castle, in a historic milieu that further increased the strength of tradition and the feeling of belonging together.

On September 15, 2004 the Society members travelled to the Wine Fair 2004 - New EU Countries exhibition in Vienna. The exhibition was visited by Slovenian, Czech, Slovakian and Hungarian viticulturists. Hungary was represented by Bock Cellars, Tibor Gál Cellars, Hilltop Neszmély, Attila Gere Cellars, In Vino Veritas, and Tokajvinum Hungaricum Society.

The Society gave a tasting party at the Museum of Agriculture in Budapest on April 15, 2005 to celebrate its first anniversary. Besides viticultural professionals, representatives of the media, the catering industry and wine-traders were also invited.
The aszú wines on display in separate cabinets at the Museum of Agriculture represent the best of the products of the nine viticulturists that founded the Society. In addition, traditional tools and instruments are there for you to see in the cabinet too.

At the Tokaj Wine Workshops program series organized by the Society and held during the Tokaj Wine Festival in May 2005, the general public was demonstrated the traditional Tokaj wine making technology and its final products.

Beyond the introduction of civilized quality wine consumption the Society participated in the Miskolc Wine Days held during the Opera Festival from June 11 to 25, 2005 to popularize the Tokaj wines.

The Society took part in one of the most important Hungarian viticultural events, the 14th International Wine and Champaign Festival from September 8 to 11, 2005. The traditional Tokaj way of wine making was focussed on at the wine show Viticulturists' Hour where the growers could introduce the Society's philosophy, and themselves, to the public.

Tokajvinum Hungaricum Society as a professional marketing organization wishes to actively participate in Hungarian viticulture. Therefore they are in permanent touch both with the local and the national professional agencies, such as Tokaji Hegyközségi Tanács and Agrármarketing Centrum, respectively.

We are confident that the organization operated by Tokaj Kereskedõház PLC will continue to grow and contribute to the increasing popularity of the Tokaj wines. It is also hoped to expand the field of its activities in accordance with the common marketing policy and the role it has assumed.
